I just got back from a few days in Flint, MI and wanted to send out a quick report. Most of our meals were provided for but I had a chance to get out a couple times to explore a few local restaurants. Per your recommendations, I had dinner at Italia Gardens on Miller Road. This restaurant exceeded my expectations. I had the eggplant parmesan and a slice of tiramisu for dessert -delicious! I brought a few people from my training class along and they were all very pleased with what they ordered. I had some of the house wine (the Merlot) which wasn't that impressive, but otherwise this is a great restaurant. The pizza also looked delicious -maybe next time...
I also had dinner and drinks at a microbrew-type restaurant near my hotel called Redwoods. This place probably caters mainly to tourists/business travelers but I thought it was also very good. I especially liked the Belgian ales (saison) and the seared tuna entree.
Thanks again for all your help!
