Flatware questions

Hello,

I'm hoping to find help with choosing flatware. I am looking to purchase a casual set. I am newly married and we have been using a rather cheap and incomplete set and would like to upgrade.

Here's what I'm looking for: I would like to purchase a set for daily use that comes with a warranty and is dishwasher safe. I'm also looking for a set made in the US preferably, or in Europe. I'm looking for a set from a reputable and classic manufacturer. I'm looking for a set that is 18/10 and no more than around $300. Design-wise I like conservative yet modern styles; basically anything without a lot of details will catch my eye.

The biggest problem I'm running into is manufacturer. I thought Reed & Barton was a rather classic brand for flatware and found a set I liked only to realize it was made in China. I found a Henckels set but that too was in China. I figured the internet would be easier than going from store to store to look at sets yet some websites don't mention where the sets are made so I'm stuck. I've read that "Zwilling Henckels" is made in Germany. Is that true? What do you consider classic brands of flatware suitable for daily use? Is Sherrill considered "timeless"? I know they used to produce for R&B but they do not currently. Any help is appreciated!
