How flat is your glass smoothtop range?

IHeartRobots | Jan 30, 201506:59 PM     8

I recently bought a glass-top GE Profile freestanding induction range (to replace a low-end electric I couldn't stand), and noticed the other day that the pan I had on one of the left-hand burners wobbled a bit. Although I initially thought I had warped the pan, I quickly figured out that *all* of my cookware wobbles a bit on the left-hand side of the stove, and is perfectly fine on the right - so it's the stovetop itself that is not quite flat. I'm going to guess I've got about half a millimeter wobble across an 11" pan, maybe a little more? Users of glass-topped ranges, do you notice a little bit of wobble in certain areas, or is yours perfectly flat everywhere? I'm trying to figure out if this is par for the course and something to learn to get used to, or if I need to gear up for a battle with customer service...

Thanks!
