Got a chance to dine at Chef David Le Fevre's charming new Fishing With Dynamite in Manhattan Beach (two door down from his MB Post) and boy did I enjoy this upscale fish shack. What a great addition to the South Bay. Started with their great SS Minnow chilled shellfish platter with jumbo shrimp, oysters, muscles & 1/2 lobster $39. The Clam Chowdah with neuske bacon in a thin broth, loved the grilled octopus, excellent fresh crispy fried squid (that included fried cauliflower, zucchini and lemons) had the all crab Maryland Blue Cakes and California sea urchin iced platter ($15!) Ended the meal with their tasty Pretzel and Chocolate bread pudding. Wonderful service. No lunch service yet at this tiny delight (they only have around 10 tables & 4 seats at the bar & 4 seats at the raw bar), they open at 5pm nightly and they were packed by 5:30pm. They do take limited reservations and will be on Open Table. Highly recommended for seafood lovers.
