What do you think of fine dining restaurants that price dishes ending in 99 cents?

A restaurant that I've always considered to be a fine dining destination is reopening and when I checked out their menu I noticed that all their prices now end in 99 cents. Not sure about other people, but this sort of thing really bothers me at a nice restaurant, it looks chintzy. I know that fast food and chain restaurants or even diners use that tactic to make their items seem less expensive than they actually are. But when you have Steak Frites on your menu for $42.99 or a Bistro Burger for $19.99 do you really think that customers are saying "well I'd order the steak if it looks like the price is $42 but if the menu said $43, forget it"? And I understand that it's a tough time for restaurants and am not questioning their pricing level, just the way they're trying to hide that last dollar (and with a reduced size font, as you can see).
