I was give a bag of fideo pasta, seems to be a dried, coiled vermicelli product, instructions on boiling it in English and Italian. Fine. Decided to have a look at recipes online and to my surprise came up with a lot of Tex Mex suggestions! Interesting. Idea seems to be to brown these coils, after breaking them up, in oil, add some onion, then some water and tomato sauce and cumin. Does anyone know about this and have a good recipe? Do you add ground beef as some recipes indicate? What do you serve with it?
