as fall is fast aproaching in many parts of our country, ive started to think about those fall foods for cool evenings. I was thinking i wonder what sort of favorite fall foods other chowhounds crave.
here is a list of mine.
slow braised beef shortribs, cooked with fennel, root vegetables, tomato and aromatics.
cheese fondue with crusty bread and pinot grigio.
hot borsht with ox tail falling off the bone.
baked babyback ribs with miniature onions, potatoes and sourkraut.
big bowl of french onion soup covered in browned melted dripping cheeses.
herb and salt crusted, rare prime rib roast, with my own extra hot horseradish sauce, pan juice, root vegetable puree and carmalized carrots with dill.
slow braised lambshanks over golden rissotto with carmalized onions and whole garlic cloves.
i could go on but really want to know, what you crave for fall.
