Fab gingerbread by mail (England)

magnolia | Dec 19, 200009:16 AM

Someone sent me a box of Billingtons (since 1817( gingerbread from the Atlas Delicatessen in Manchester, and it is so gingery my eyes are practically watering!

It's the best I've ever tasted. Not soft & chewy, but just crunchy, cut & packaged into bars. And the box is oldie worldie too, and gives some ginerbread trivia.

The box indicates that it's from "A Taste of Shropshire, T. McCarthy & Son/The Krusty Loaf (like Krusty the clown) 3 High Street/Market Drayton, Shrops.
