What are your ethnic origins & how much do they influence your cooking ? My mom was Dutch & Irish & most of all southern with a capital "S". Dad was Native American ( Cherokee). I dearly love southern cooking & always make my mom's corn bread "dressing".... that's stuffing to all non-southerners. Have never tried another dressing as my kids would be so dissappointed & most likely wouldn't touch it. Sadly, I haven't concentrated on Native American cooking until lately. I've started making fry bread & goat cooked the Indian way, with juniper berries. Will continue to read, learn & cook more Native American recipes.
