Any advance word on Esca--Mario Batali's new restaurant? I understand that the emphasis is on seafood, but I was wondering where it fell in the swankiness range between the more casual Lupa and the more "special ocacsion" Babbo.
Heck, either way, it's gonna be tasty. I've no doubt of that. I've got the tasting menu from Babbo pinned up by my computer at home, and sometimes in unguarded moments, I find myself lightly glazed-eyed and drooling in memory of the pumpkin lune.
