Elmhurst update

After lamenting that New Kim Tuong has been closed for renovations (or so I thought) since late this summer, I noticed recently that it has been reincarnated as a new restaurant called Lucky Seafood. I've always counted on New Kim Tuong for decent congee at any time of day (and late night), but tonight's offering at Lucky was merely OK. Suffice it to say, the seafood seems to be it's main offering, and we didn't have any so I'll reserve full judgment for a subsequent visit. From the menu, the seafood section is chock full of offerings, and the specials section is yet to be translated into english, and there's a whole frog's leg section to the menu, FWIW. Has anyone else paid them a visit?

Just down Broadway from the new Lucky seafood restaurant was an unattractive takeout chinese joint featuring the usual ½-chicken & fried rice combos and all the usual dumbed-down fare, but now it has reopened as an equally unattractive, takeout thai and chinese joint called Broadway Kitchen. The crowd of seemingly thai folks in the joint gave it the look of some potential.

Also, further down Broadway is a new glistening colombian (I believe) rotisserie chicken place, that's been open for a few months. It seems to be doing a brisk business, and when I was looking at the posted menu and looking in, a latina woman commented to me that it was very good, whatever that's worth. I'm sure I'll check out these places sooner or later, but would like to solicit comments from anyone who has paid a visit to any of these places for further info.
