help! I bought some elk burgers and threw them in the freezer. this morning I took them out to thaw for dinner (put them in the fridge), but I don't think they'll be fully thawed by tonight. My concern is that if I cook them while still semifrozen, I might overcook them, since elk is very lean and should only be cooked for a couple minutes a side. So should I jsut wait til tomorrow to eat them, or is there a fast way to thaw them thoroughly, or should I cook them over low heat....I have no experience with lean ground meats like this. TIA!
