Where are eatnopale and kare raisu when I need them? We need to get some knowledgeable chowhounds down to Santa Rosa's Sebastopol Road for a chowdown. Hope others can try it and give me a reality check.
Since eatnopale and kare raisu are far away, I went with a friend yesterday and snacked on a plate of panuchos - my first time to try these, so no comparison, just yum. I loved the black bean dip and very mild cooked salsa with chips (these were fresh made and a bit oily).
The panuchos were just as described in this article -
I appreciated the contrast of crispy tortilla with soft, warm black bean puree. And the cool crispy lettuce with soft-chewy chicken offset by avocado, pickled onion and black pepper. It felt more like a tostado than a taco, but I could only pick up and take a couple of bites before the whole thing slid apart. What is the correct way to eat a panucho?
Really good warm weather food!
The menu is huge.
The prices very reasonable.
The hours are generous - 10-10 daily.
The parking is good - 3935 Sebastopol Road at the live/work units.
Call them for more info 526-2720.
I've been enjoying pibil at Rancho Viejo in Sonoma and this place definitely rates right up there and much better prices.
Can't figure out how to add a new restaurant?
