I'm going to be in NYC over christmas break. I grew up there and used to *LOVE* El Quijote down near the old Chelsea Hotel. For my money you can't find a better taste of the old-world, fancy-in-a-gaudy-way, huge-portions-for-cheap NYC restaurant experience anywhere in the city. I'm considering going back while I'm up there but haven't been in a while, and reviews make it sound like it's under new management. Has anyone been there since it changed hands? Is it still the place I remember? How, if at all, has it changed? (Menu, ambiance, prices, quality, etc.) Thanks in advance!
