On the SF board, there was a mention that eggs should not be refrigerated otherwise they lose their flavor.
To clarify, this would be eggs that have never been refrigerated, straight from the hen (via a farmer). Not the type you buy at the supermarket.
I remember a few discussions about this in the past, but my search skills are failing me.
I remember someone mentioning that they brought eggs on their boat and they were fine for months unrefrigerated. Also, I recall mentions that in other countries eggs are not refrigerated. However, another poster mentioned that the eggshells were thicker in some countries.
However, there were other comments that said that leaving eggs out speeds up the aging process.
So, what do you think? Is an egg like a tomato ... put it in the fridge and lose the flavor?
