we're here and we're eating....2 places so far

So we're totally transplanted here from Boston, and I'm posting like I said I would when I asked for info awhile ago (thanks again, chicago hounds)...
We aren't eating out much since we're *still* looking for work, but in our neighborhood (Edgewater) we've tried Moody's burgers and Barry's pizza.
Moody's is the darkest restaurant I've ever eaten in, but not in a bad way. The fireplaces are nice and cozy and it's a no frills-place. Had a HUGE salad, basic stuff, fresh, just fine, and cheeseburgers. Burgers were a bit underwhelming, but we'll be back, especially in the summer since you can eat outside.

Barry's had very good pizza, went with a thin crust and fresh garlic/zucchini. Zuc was grilled which was a nice touch but this tiny (10") pie was 12$. Seems like a lot to me, no? And why is the crust like a cracker? I miss the thin, chewy dough with a crispy edge......More searching to be done.

Glad to be here & hope to meet some hounds in the future!
