Eating at the bar in Baltimore

It's almost become a Saturday ritual -- along about 1 or 2 in the afternoon I'll head to Dizzy Issie's in Hampden, sit at the bar, drink a couple of beers and eat a burger or some hot wings (Sat. is free calorie day).

Aside from the fact that the food is great, the real attraction for me is the people I meet there. Unlike some bars where the people seem tied up with their own group, the folks at Dizzy's are always talkative, and they're of all ages, income brackets, sexual persuasion and race. You can just jump into a conversation there and they treat you like they've known you all their lives.

Comparing that to the places in Federal Hill where I live, it's no contest. The Dog Pub serves a great pizza and has very friendly bartenders -- Friday night when I ended up there, Lindsey was the most talkative bartender ever (and one of the prettiest too). But the folks hanging out there aren't nearly as outgoing.

Are there any other bars in Baltimore with great food and really outgoing people? This isn't a bar-to hang-out-for-hours thread -- I almost never drink more than two beers. Food is critical.
