Eastside Italian Market

martyR | Dec 6, 200404:47 PM

Just got back from my first experience with the sandwiches at Eastside Italian Market. This is on Alpine, west of the 110 freeway in Chinatown. Chinatown used to be little Italy in the first half of last century.
What amazing looking sandwiches. The meatball and sausage are huge. I had a jones for tuna today so that's what I ordered. It was mammoth and tasty. And at 5.70 its a steal for the amount of food you get.
I'm going back for the sausage tomorrow. If it is as good as it looks, this is definitely going into my lunch rotation.
It seemed that a popular order was sausage and roast beef combos. Not sure if I can handle that, but I admire the style.
