Met a friend in Central London yesterday, and we decided to have brunch at My Old Dutch Pancake House. I thought it was pretty decent, and a decent value for that neighborhood, esp. with a 10% student discount.
I had a pancake (they are quite big) with apples and bacon, friend had one with scrambled egg, tomato, bacon. Both were nice. My coffee was OK. Friend's chocolate milk seemed OK too, though I didn't ask him. Service was friendly, and we left feeling satisfied for £20 altogether.
Wandering around London, we eventually made it into Soho, where we passed by Mooli. Remembering what I had read on this board, I gave it a try. Staff were very friendly, and the choices and prices looked good too. I just had a small goat mooli, which I thought was only okay - the goat itself was pretty good, but it was served with potatoes and some onion chutney, both of which were somewhat bland. So the overall effect wasn't that interesting. Next time I will try some other options - it was good enough to return though.
I wouldn't say that either of these places are worth a special trip, but both make decent and reasonably priced stops if you are in the neighborhood already.
