Dutch Oven

On my way to work this morning, I was reading through some recipes and I decided that I want (need?) to get a dutch oven. But since I'm not 100% sure what I'll be using it for, I'm not sure where to begin. I suppose I'd like to make some brisket and/or pot roast types of things as a start.

I guess I'm looking for some guidance on:

-- what would be a good size to get?
-- enamel or cast iron or something else?
-- brand?
-- a good place to buy (either in Manhattan or a website)?

Price really isn't an issue, since this will be a Hanukkah gift from my husband to me (although he doesn't know it yet!).

Any suggestions that you can give me would be great! Thanks!
