I'm looking at a newspaper advertising supplement. Baskin-Robbins lists its flavors. Several are new to me, including the Bully Choop. In small print under the name are the words "Chocolate Ice Cream."
Bully Choop was the name given to a sundae served at Browne's Soda Shop in Weaverville, California when I used to dine there in the 1970s. The name derives from a local placename: the Bully Choop was a nearby mountain.
Possible influence on my dream: a visit to Eiger Ice Cream Thursday after lunch at San Gennaro. Eiger (note the name) makes very good ice cream. It's very expensive. Have you been to Eiger? The bearded misanthrope who serves the ice cream must be the owner. Just south of Sunset in that small concentration of shops and restaurants around Barrington. Eiger is off the main drag, on a sinuous road east of Barrington called something like Barrington Drive. Also available there are frozen yogurt and nonfat ice cream made without sugar.
