I know I am spoiled and we do not live in a food desert, but lunches downtown just seem like more of a chore than a pleasure of late. Even if you are willing to go to a fifteen dollar meal, the offerings seem poor to me. Given we are working for the state we have to be able to get back to the area by the Capitol in an hour. Of course there are sandwich places like Quizno's, Jimmy John's, Subway, Planet Sub, Royal Blue, and Lavazza, but not much else that seems to light anyone up. We miss Thai Passion. Taco Shack us like eating in a shoe box. P. Terry has no seating. Downtown Burger is great but most in the group grouse about going clear to Cesar Chavez. Annie's IMHO has really dropped off in quality. Manuel's takes more time than we have. Chinatown is marginally ok. Frank is slow and IMO could learn a little about hotdogs from 7-11 or a good cart. Anybody have some place(s) they LIKE that can seat you, feed you, and get you on your way in forty minutes for ten bucks?
