Looking for downtown Detroit for a big group

Hey there, I'm a Ann Arbor college (U-M) foodie, headed to downtown Detroit this Saturday (March 6, '04) to see the UM vs MSU hockey game at the Joe with a group of friends that has balooned to a final tally of 20. Most of 'em are kind of 'ignant, at least culinarily, but I'd like to steer us to a dinner spot at least somewhat worth the stop. So, I'm looking for a place that fits these criteria:

1. Close to the Joe
2. Not too expensive-->max ~$20/person
3. Mainstream/familiar food types (won't freak out my kind but corn-fed companions)
4. Can hold 20 people! And still get to the game on time! So..reservations accepted would be a plus

I've been reading a lot about Lafayette Coney Island, but as they don't take reservations, I'm doubting we could just pile in and out with such a huge group...but correct me if I'm wrong! Of course good pizza would always be a fine if unoriginal college option; we went to a place in Greektown last year, forget the name, it was real crowded, pizza heavy but ok...Thanks so much for your help!!
