Went to Demet's in Medford a few weeks ago, and had the great blueberry doughnuts and a nice talk with the guy who seems to run the place. He was friendly and eager to know what we thought of the food, and just seemed like a wicked nice guy. We saw that he had a egg, meat, cheese, and hash brown sandwich; the addition of potato intrigued us, and we decided to come back soon and try it.
So we went back yesterday to try the egg/hash brown thing, and he's got new special doughnuts! Homestyle Apple Cider and Raspberry Strusel(?). The cider one was good, especially if you like them with some crunch. The raspberry one was perfect. (He said his goal was for it to taste like a raspberry danish. It did).
How am I supposed to try multiple doughnut places with this Doughnut Edison whipping up terrific new varieties? This guy is rapidly assuring that I will never visit Dunkin's again. The egg/hash brown sandwich was good too.
