Had dinner tonight at Domani.
I had the Prosciutto and Pear Salad (tasty) and Bouillebaise (sp?) (also tasty). The Bouillebaise had two types of fish, two gigantic prawns in a tomato broth with carrots, celery and two types of grilled onions. I loved the huge piece of grilled toast. The fish was fishier than I think it should have been.
GF had the Gnocci with Duck. She said it was tasty.
We finished with mango/cinnamon and strawberry sorbetto. It was a nice and clean way to end the meal and they came with two great tear-shaped shortbread cookies.
The tab came to about $60.00 with tip (no wine).
The service was nice, friendly and attentive.
I think the place is a nice casual neighborhood place to have dinner, but it's troubling that it was only half full at 9 pm on a Friday night. There should have been more people there considering that some of the other places in the neighborhood are more expensive with bad service and mediocre food but consistently packed.
