Dissapointing Brunch at Greens

I wanted to report on a disappointing brunch at Greens. Three things that bothered us right off the bat:
1. The coffee was too weak
2. The tea was overbrewed when it arrived.
3. The water glasses smelled bad.
So it got off to a bad start.
We ordered the potato griddle cakes with poached eggs and the French toast with fruit and vanilla creme fraiche. The first dish was tasty and well balanced, although not particularly flavorful. Had it cost less I would not have felt like complaining. The french toast was fine, nothing more. The bread was too dry, and there was not enough fruit, and especially creme fraiche for the three slices of toast. What bothered us about both dishes however was that they just were not filling enough. The griddle cakes could have come with some fruit or a piece of bread to help sop up the extra liquid, and the bread for the french toast seemed to be all holes. This strikes me as especially disappointing for an 11:00 brunch, when you have waited a few extra hours in the morning before eating. Well, I guess we'll be having an early dinner.
$36 for two including tax and tip.
