Dishes that goes well with high-octane syrah

I am hosting a wine dinner for 8 people. The theme is high-octane domestic syrah like Alban, Saxum, etc.

What would be a good dish that is easy to cook ? I know lamb roast is a obvious one, but we had it recently and frankly I can't seem to cook it consistently either...

I guess we could always do lamb chops or steaks, but was hoping for something bigger that would pair well with those 16% reds...

Any ideas ? Thanks !
