Dinner at Lupa - a slight let down.

Six people (including myself) just had dinner at Lupa for my birthday. Nothing was technically wrong with this meal (food was perfectly on time, hot, etc.) but a certain energy was lacking. The waitress made us all a bit uncomfortable (e.g. couldn't remember the specials, got very stressed out in the process, only to take out a card and read from it), but generally did nothing wrong either. For the price of the food (averaging ~$50 per person, with one $65 bottle of wine), I was just expecting something more. We have previously dined at Otto and Babbo, and agree that both offer a much better meal for the money (and much less money at Otto). If you happen to be at Lupa on a Saturday anytime soon, the Steak "Involtino" is quite worth the $19. But keep in mind you'll need to order a second dish, such as a primi ($11 - $14) or a contorno ($7), as none of the secondi dishes is alone sufficient for a meal. FYI: *very* loud and cramped (one waiter struck my mother in the back of the head with his elbow, and was oblivious afterward). Mario's other restaurants have been out of this world good, Lupa was just fine.
