Dig's Bistro

I celebrated my bday here on Tuesday. What a great spot. The atmosphere(the former Olivia, A La Carte and I think Beggars Banquet) is cozy. The food was great. I had a poached egg on a ragu of mushrooms with a truffle fonduta,breadcrumbs and salsa verde(screamin') followed by a smoked pork chop, creamiest polenta in the world and sauteed chard. My partner had the rilletes,proscuitto, salami and pate campagne followed by the heirloom tomato salad. There are maybe 5 entrees and 5 plats. Dessert maybe numbered 4. We were woefully too full for dessert. Knowing it was my bday, the wait person brought a perfectly ripened fig with a candle aglow to celebrate.

The wine list is small but managable. There are several choices by the glass. All appeared reasonably priced. Bottled water is San Pellagrino.

This place can only get more popular. Go while it's still a tiny secret.
