I know this may belong in the outer boro board but Manhattanites need to know to expand their horizons. I found myself in Midwood, Brooklyn this afternoon after a real estate closing. Luckily, I had the address for Di Fara's in my PDA and realized I was only about a mile away. I was blown away! This pizza is the real deal. No "whole pizza only" requirements a la John's, Lombardis or Grimaldis. And much better. Don't know how well the pizza would travel back to Manhattan as the olive oil seems to make the crust soggy if not eaten within minutes of coming out of the oven but as I was in no rush I devoured 3 slices in a few minutes. The place is a hole in the wall but totally worth a detour. Now if I can only figure out how to ensure I am in the neighborhood in the near future. Perhaps on the way to/from the Aquarium.
