My husband and I have been looking back at our recent trip to Paris, wishing we were there right now. So I'd like to take him to a French restaurant this weekend, and can't decide between a few. I've read the posts that I could find, and would love to know if anyone recommends one more highly than the others. I'm interested in great food, a nice wine list (although by the glass, bc he doesn't drink wine), and a great atmosphere. My choices are: (1) Le Bouchon; (2) La Sardine; (3) Bistro Campagne; (4) Bistro Margot; or (5) Chez Joel (we were there in October and loved it). I thought about Cafe Matou, but read some horrible comments on it - has anyone been recently?
I gather that Le Bouchon and La Sardine are both wonderful, with the former being a bit livelier and louder. Are the food, wines, and prices comparable?
I appreciate your advice, and will happily report back!
