Restaurants & Bars 4

DC Restaurant Resources

I'd be interested to hear from the denizens of this board what published sources they trust to find good local chow and to keep track of restaurant developments.

There is a long list of sources. It would include at a minimum:

Chowhound of course
the other site
Sietsema's reviews in the Post Sunday)
Ziebart's reviews in the Post (Friday)
Tom's book
Tom's Wednesday chat
Washingtonian (each issue)
Washingtonian (top 100 and cheap eats editions)
Amazon (menu postings)
Digital City Guide
Tyler Cowen
Bourrez Votre Visage
City Paper (not yet up to speed?)
Crummy but good (Donovan Kelly including his book)

Of these and probably many others, what do you use? What do you avoid? Which do you find reliable? Are any of them worthwhile? Are all of them useful? Is word of mouth better yet? Should we give up and try to do one ourselves?
