David Greggory--mini review

Heidi | Aug 25, 2003 12:48 PM

My husband and I went to David Greggory with another couple on Saturday night. It was a spur-of-the-moment choice, and it was a very pleasant evening. The four of us were able to get a table at 8 pm with no reservation. I was very pleased with the atmosphere, comfortable and open. We ordered two appetizers, one was a grilled Moroccan shrimp and one was calamari with three dipping sauces. Now the men gobbled up the shrimp, so I was not able to taste, but I thought the calamari was excellent. It was amazingly tender, not the slightest bit chewy, and the accompanying sauces were delicious. As an entree, I ordered the crabcakes which came with a paper bag full of homemade, Old Bay potato chips...YUM! Unfortunately, we skipped dessert, though every review I have read makes me regret that choice. I would definitely go back again and would recommend this choice to others. I thought the menu was innovative, yet fairly priced, and really have no complaints about the entire evening! Has anyone else had similar experiences?
