So, it'll be my first time at Danube in three weeks or so; I'm very excited and look forward to a romantic evening of sumptuous Central European food.
Since I am from Central Europe, things like schnitzel won't be a revelation to me, no matter how expertly prepared; instead I'm looking for dishes that are based in that tradition but reinterpreted in a somewhat novel way.
Has anyone been recently, can you recommend specific dishes that surprised or intrigued you? Any other general comments - service, wines? Is the tasting menu w/wine pairings the way to go?
Any memorable dessert wines? desserts???
