Daily Eats is a new restaurant in my neighborhood. I think this happens infrequently so I thought I'd make a few remarks.
It's laid out like a diner, with a short bar and many booths with an outdoor patio section. The kitchen is visible and brightly lit with some confident looking guys in chef jackets quickly preparing some attractive plates.
There is a decent list of brunch entrees served ~8am to 3pm on weekends. This might relieve the apparent shortage of brunch joints in Tampa.
The menu is strange; it refers to food types in chemical terms- you can have your choice of "protein" to top a bowl of rice/lettuce/seasoning- this is a kind of house specialty that might grow on me. There are many diner standards with organic and high-end flourishes (e.g. brown rice, Kobe beef).
Long dessert menu, funny tasting water, inexpensive.
