Cutting Board Particles

Lately I've been mulling around all things cutting board....

I don't use the Epicureans Boards we have in there household, but there are times I do when the wifey has them out. I have 3 of these Epicurean Boards. One that is about 6x10 - for fruits. One tan and one black. 20x15 - raw/ cooked.

Anyhow, when I use my scary sharp knives on them, there have been instances where literally, black slivers have been observed....

For those that have observed the same ~sliver~ issue as being discussed, have you observed as such on any of your cutting board material of choice
