Had a good dinner at the CUESA fundraiser last night. Highlights:

The single best item was a canape of truffled egg salad with smoked trout from the unfortunately named Fork.

Great corn and crab chowder from Blue Mermaid Chowder House. I'm definitely going to give that place a try--if the food's improved under the current chef Anthony Gutierrez, it could be an answer to the eternal questions of (1) where to eat at the Wharf and (2) where to get fried clam strips.

Nice rabbit terrine from The Girl and the Fig with a spectacular onion confit.

Wonderful chocolate bombe filled with dulce de leche from Postrio.
