Cucina Italiana-San Diego

Wow. Went here on Saturday night, and had the most phenomenal meal! Started with fresh warm bread with a delicious dipping sauce (sun dried tomato with basil), shared the artichoke appetizer--sauted artichoke hearts with garlic, butter in some kind of sauce that I can't remember now (but it was great with the bread).
The Romano Salad was a beautifully done ceasar, with large shavings of parmesean cheese, not too heavy on the dressing and homemade bread crumbs.

My husband had the house lasanga--which was tasty, made with beef and pork, and a creamy bechamel sauce. This was good, but I thought it was lacking more tomato flavor.

I had the gnocchi in a gorgonzola cream sauce...Which was brilliant! I typically stay away from these, since the sauces tend to be too heavy, but this was wonderful. Perfect taste, not too chewy gnocchi!

Can't wait to go back and try the other dishes!
