I was browsing for more information on cheeses made with buffalo milk (in addition to the well-known Mozzarella di Campana), when I came across this article.
I am aware of the far less than ideal practices in our food production system on raising animals, but this is shocking and disturbing when it is from the farms in the esteemed Campania region in Italy, where the prized mozzarella that I love is produced.

Does anyone have more information about whether that is the general state of the producers from that region? I will never look at this cheese the same way again.
