I had a fabulous dinner at a lovely little restaurant in NYC last weekend and ordered a dish of roasted monkfish with cauliflower and crosnes. The crosnes are a tuber that look sort of like a small screw or a caterpillar (about 1" long) and are sweet and delicious - similar in texture and flavor to a Jerusalem artichoke. Has anyone ever seen these at a produce vendor or had them also? I'm really stoked to find them and cook them myself as they were quite tasty and I'd love to add them to the huge pan of roasted vegetables I cook every week. Anyone with any ideas for me would make me a happy girl.
