The new little creperie by the Boot on Broadway has been open for 6 weeks now, and I just tried it this evening. It looks very clean inside, and they have the real crepe-irons and even the little wooden hoe-type things (i'm SURE there's a lovely french word for those) to spread the batter around. I had a plain 'ol butter and sugar crepe, and I loved it all. Crispy at the very edges, good eggy type texture toward the middle. Next I'm going to try the ham and swiss. Then the nutella. Then sour cream and cinnamon. Then asparagus and hollandaise... there's even one involving angel food cake and grand marnier. Hmmm.
Right now they're open 6 pm til the kids stop coming home from the bars at 3 am or so. The lady said they hope to be open for breakfast soon. Prices are 3.50 for basic up to 6 or so for the fancy ones.
How's the one on Bourbon st?
