Cracked Wheat Flour

My son needs to cook or bake a medieval recipe. Specifically - from 16th or 17th century England. He decided to make a seed cake (http://www.godecookery.com/goderec/gr... ). The recipe calls for cracked wheat flour. My searches on Internet on sources where to buy the flour lead me to cracked wheat. Does anyone know if it is the same ingredient?
