I don't know if I'm commiting a mortal sin, but I'm about to bash the Kittle House. I've been looking to visit the revered establishment for quite a long time and finally got the opportunity on Sat, Nov 13th. My experience is as follows. I was presented with their awesome wine list. I selected a Super Tuscan that I have in my cellar that was very fairly priced. It was whisked away, and before I knew what happened, I presented with a decanter full of a red wine. I was not asked if I wanted it decanted, nor did I see it decanted. I really have no idea if it was the wine I selected and paid for, or if it was another similar wine. It was good, so I made no comment as to not start a scene in front of my guests. I asked the server if he'd like to have a glass with me, and he told me he'd already tasted it. Not a bad policy, but I believe it should be my option to invite such. The decanter was also not kept at my table, but rather appeared only when a glass needed to be refilled. I do not know if the glasses were refilled from my decanter, or another, nor do I know if someone else took liberty with my decanter. As far as the food and service is concerned, somewhat sub par as well. The very fine bread was offered at the beginning of the meal, and never again. My water glass was filled once in the begining of the evening, and never again. My salmon was under cooked, but not enough to return it to the kitchen. My wife's filet was prepared perfectly, but was tough to chew. My server was not fluent in English, and I had a very tough time ordering just ice cream for desert, sans apple tart. My guest's coffee cup was not refilled, rather the check was placed on my table, without me asking for it or the server asking if we needed anything else. I emailed a similar note to the contact address on their web site on the following Monday, the 15th, and have received no reply from them as yet.
