Spent a few days in your fine City on combination of business and solo pleasure. Loved Trinity in Clapham. Third time there ( from Boston). Menu was a bit fish centric tor me but we did tasting with pairing and all were more than satisfied. Feels like a secret special neighborhood upscale gem.
Roux at Landau. Lovely with exquisite service. Happened to be election night so the drama of BBC across the street added to the fun.
I dined alone at Moti Mahal and with the exception of having the bad table ( btw kitchen door and serving area) the experience was lovely. I made the mistake of ordering the lentils cooked in coals for starter which is more liquid than solid but it was so delicious i scooped it all up with great naan.
Had a solo dinner before theater at the Savoy Grille. This war horse has never disappointed me and the kind service for a solo diner and the amazing Dover sole made a perfect night.
Finally a super shout out for Dean Street Townhouse. Saturday brunch and a totally delicious cobb salad with a half carafe of wine made for a super pre theater meal.
Love London. Thanks for your hospitality.
