I'm headed to CR in early Dec and need recs on anyplace chowish, I'm up to anything from roadside lean-to where I need to squint my eyes to an elegant dinner. I'm going to try to hit the stalls in the Marketplace in San J...
San José - Hotel Grano de Oro overnight
On the way to Arenal today, stop visit La Paz Waterfall Gardens. visit will include lunch, but I suspect this is "tourist food" and should opt for the driver to stop somewhere more authentic along the way to Arenal instead (if you know of something along the way, otherwise we'll ask the driver for a fun "authentic" place)
Lost Iguana in Arenal for three nights - doing the following: Sky Trek tour, tour to Arenal Volcano and Tabacon Hot Springs. Dinner will be included this evening at Tabacon (should we "waste" a meal at the resort even though it's included?)
Drive to Tamarindo 2 nights at Capitan Suizo
Deep sea fishing one morning
Nature Air flight to San José to Xandari Plantation overnight (arrive in early afternoon and leave mid-morning)
Please let me know of anything I should make an effort to do/eat.
