Corned Beef Timing Question

Tomorrow I'm going to do 2 corned beefs in one pot, simmering traditional style. One is 6.6lb and the other is 3.4lb, I've done plenty of corned beef but never 2 of this size together. My question to the Hounds is: do I have to simmer for an hour a pound using the 10lb total or can I just go to about 7 hours using the larger beef as a guideline? Don't bother bringing up crock pots, we don't even own one.
