I see that some people still raises the question of whether a tinned copper pot thickness of 3mm or more with a mark above is better than a pot of the same thickness that is not stamped?
We must stop asking this amazing question! No matter whether stamped or not. A tinned copper pot 3mm and more is necessarily very high quality!
Obviously with a stamp that is more beautiful. But to use the result is the same.
It is strange to ask whether a 3mm copper pot Mauviel, Dehillerin will cook better than 3mm copper pot unnamed.
Anyway, we must be aware that Mauviel distributed its pots unnamed top to XXXXXX dealers, stores, distributors in France and abroad.
I say this because Mauviel is the main long but obviously there were other manufacturers.
For example, to earlier periods, many pots left Villedieu to Paris or elsewhere in their version of "naked". Sleeveless, no tin, no hammering, no stamping.
Then they were tinned or sometimes coated with silver in the workshops of Paris, Alsace, Lorraine and many other regions and countries. Hammered or not. Mounted with handles cast iron or bronze, different shapes, etc ...
There are so many variations! But keep in mind that 3mm and more is the top! There is no wrong making in this thick!
