so I really don't know what else to say. I really don't have much experince or talent for cooking.

I worked in what I would call a higher end up fast food place for almost a year and on an entirely different note left the find employment somewhere else.

to a degree the fact that the cooking going on there was not real cooking at all annoyed me and I hated putting up with it.

One day I decided I would just chop the onions by hand instead of with this dumb. Slicer machine they used cause well I could not find all the bits to it.

people in the kitchen area had washed it but had not put all the bits and pieces where they need to it could be easily found again.

and I figured what the heck, all that really matters is the onions should be cut...and chilled before going onto the the assembly line area...

but one of the girls that was there that such a huge stickler on rules went utterly crazy at me...for continuing to cut the onion when they were supposed to be stored in a clear tote and then you put this dumb thing together and do that...

all for the sake of everything being by the company standards...and frankly taking way more time then it seems necessary.

lol well as you can tell it was a pet peeve of mine since then.

I mean I loved working in the back and learning about working with food but fast food is no "real" way to cook food at all.

I guess aside from all that I have a little bit of my own experience doing things. lol simple things like frying eggs, making grilled cheese sandwiches. I adore baking and find it really fun to do...but I live at home with my mother.

For right now and as much as I love my mother she does have a bad tendency of holding onto just about anything she owns.
so her stove honestly has kitchen towels and other assorted kitchen stuff inside it that we have to move use the bloody thing.

lol I have been told numerous times just how dangerous all of this is... and how annoying it must be.
I am sure that is fairly true. But it is her house, and I have merely come to the conclusion that I will be limited in what I can or can't do as to cooking adventures. While I live in her house if anything just to be respectful.

I guess I want to learn how to cook cause well unlike my mother and her mother I actually enjoy cooking like the prep work I like feeling the food in my hands and the smell and aromas that come from it.

Its seems very true the statement from Julia and Julie, that after a really bad day coming home and cooking something and preparing it just the way its supposed to be, and being exactly what is supposed to be..melts away all the troubles of the day like a big stick of delicious butter.
