Coconut oil in coffee. Not quite "bulletproof" but delicious low-carb "breakfast"

shanagain | Feb 19, 201503:44 PM     47

I'm terrible about eating breakfast and stumbled across the whole Bulletproof coffee thing not long ago. While butter in my coffee wasn't "bad" it also wasn't really.. anything. (Very odd, because it was tough to talk myself into trying, then the butter just sort of vaguely thickened the coffee, but added no taste.

Enter coconut oil and a little heavy cream. Whoa. Game-changer. It's delicious and filling. REALLY filling. I'm down to two cups of coffee in the morning instead of 3-4, and feel really good about starting off my day with a healthy dose of fat, first thing.

No magic results, but definitely worth a try if you haven't already.
