Just got back from dinner at Coco500. Boy, it was good news, bad news, totally different from our first visit. We took a bottle of a special pinot noir and the manager open it and we offered him a glass which he took. In the mean time we order the duck pate, the cheese plate, the brandad (sp?), the flatbread with carmalized onions and herbs and the Coco'tacos." The tacos arrived quickly and were very good. They were followed fairly quickly by the cheese and the pate. Still no flatbread which the last time we were there was quick to arrive.
At about that time the waitress came by and ask how it was going and what else we might want. Well, I said how about that flatbread we ordered, it was quick the last time. She muttered something I didn't understand and asked what else we might like. I ordered the duck confit with roasted peach.
So, nothing appeared at our table and we drank our wine. After awhile the waitress stopped by and asked if we needed anything else. Well, there were two dishes we hadn't even seen yet so I ask for the check. She brought it very quickly and neither the flatbread nor the duck were on it.
A minute or two later the manager stopped by to ask how things were and thank us for the wine. I explained to him the situation and the total lack of good service which was so much different from our first experience there. He quickly picked up the check and said he was very sorry.
The food was fine this time, the service left a whole lot to be disired. Yet, I would certainly give them another chance. I respected how the manager handled the situation. Oh, no tip was left needless to say.
